Art Pharmacy and Mass General Brigham

Art Pharmacy has partnered with Mass General Brigham to introduce the nation's first social prescribing program to address hypertension through arts-based engagements. This collaboration enables healthcare providers at MGB community clinics to prescribe personalized arts and cultural experiences – such as visual arts, music, and creative writing classes – to patients, particularly those managing hypertension and chronic stress, as part of the United Against Racism program. By integrating creative engagement into care plans, the program aims to enhance emotional resilience, reduce social isolation, and promote whole-person health across the Commonwealth.
