Art Pharmacy is committed to ensuring that our social prescribing services are accessible, safe, and enriching. We encourage participants to review this policy to better understand the nature of our programs and the terms of participation.

Program Description

Art Pharmacy partners with healthcare providers, community-based organizations, and cultural institutions to deliver community-centered experiences that support emotional well-being, social connection, and holistic health. Program activities may include:

  • Art-making sessions

  • Museum and cultural visits

  • Creative workshops

  • Other arts-based engagements

All programs are designed with inclusion and accessibility in mind, and are facilitated by trained professionals or community partners.

Voluntary Participation

Participation in Art Pharmacy programs is entirely voluntary. Choosing whether or not to participate will not affect your access to healthcare or community services in any way.

  • You are under no obligation to attend or complete any activity.

  • You may decline to participate or withdraw at any time, without explanation or penalty.

  • You are encouraged to select activities that align with your interests, comfort level, and personal circumstances.

Acknowledgement of Risk

While our programs are designed to be low-risk and supportive, some activities may involve social, emotional, or physical engagement. By participating, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • You are responsible for your personal safety, well-being, and comfort throughout any activity.

  • Art Pharmacy does not guarantee any specific outcomes or therapeutic effects from participation.

  • You should inform your healthcare provider or program coordinator of any accessibility needs, health concerns, or other considerations prior to engaging in activities.

  • If you choose to participate in a program that involves increased physical activity or risk, you may be asked to sign an additional waiver specific to that activity.

  • In the event of an emergency, please contact emergency services by calling 911.

Waiver of Liability

By choosing to engage in Art Pharmacy programs or activities, you agree to the following terms:

  • Art Pharmacy, its staff, affiliates, community partners, and the referring Prescribing Partner are not liable for any injuries, losses, or damages that may arise during or as a result of participation.

  • You release and waive all claims—present or future—against Art Pharmacy, its staff, and the Prescribing Partner relating to personal injury, property damage, or any other potential liability connected to your participation.

  • You accept personal responsibility for any risks that may be associated with your voluntary engagement in our programs.
